The Noken is a spring upgrade that increases air-spring volume, reducing the compression ratio and creating a more linear spring curve that mimics the plush feel of a coil spring (Ramp up @ the end stroke).

By expanding the air chamber space above the crown, the Noken increases spring volume by the equivalent of 1.1 Bottomless Tokens in RockShox Zeb and 35mm forks or 1.5 volume spacers in Fox 38 forks. This simple upgrade addresses a key challenge for many riders with long-travel forks: finding the right balance between a supple initial stroke, strong mid-stroke support, and fully utilizing all the fork's travel. With the Noken, you can optimize that perfect trifecta.

Recent air spring design evolution has focused on increasing negative air chamber volume to improve small-bump sensitivity. A larger negative volume helps lower the initial spring rate, letting your suspension better absorb minor trail imperfections and improving overall sensitivity. However, the trade-off is that a larger negative chamber can reduce positive volume, making the fork progressively stiffer toward the end of the stroke and preventing you from using all your travel.

This is where the Noken shines. It allows you to enjoy the benefits of a larger negative air volume without the usual trade-offs. With the Noken, you can preserve small-bump compliance and mid-stroke support, while also regaining the travel that is typically lost due to the harsh, steep progression of some stock air springs.

WARNING:

The Noken is 10-13mm taller than standard damper control knobs, so it’s important to confirm downtube clearance before installation. Review our clearance guidelines or download our 3D printable files (Zeb/RS 35 and 38) to help with this step. Additionally, you can use the new Riser Crown Race to create the needed clearance, available in HighRise (+10mm) or LowRise (+5mm) options.

NOKEN VS. COIL

Noken gives you many of the benefits of a coil spring – plushness, predictability, and sensitivity – with the perfect amount of ending-stroke ramp-up to help resist bottom-out.

REDUCED SPRING RATE CHANGE

Because the spring rate doesn’t change dramatically as the spring compresses, you get a smooth and consistent feel, which is especially important on rough or technical terrain.

FOX 38

The graph above illustrates the change in spring curve with the Noken vs. the stock 38 170mm configuration (with includes two volume spacers).

ROCKSHOX ZEB

The graph above illustrates the change in spring curve with the Noken vs. the stock Zeb 170mm configuration (C1 Debonair+ generation with 1 Token).

ROCKSHOX LYRIK

The graph above illustrates the change in spring curve with the Noken vs. the stock Lyrik 150mm configuration (D1 Debonair+ generation with no Tokens).
